What we collect through this website
When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number (optional)
- the service you are interested in, and your message
We use these details only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to quote for and carry out your job.
Client and job records
If you become a client, we keep records of your contact details, the work we do, quotes, invoices, payments and compliance documents (such as electrical safety certificates). We keep these records to deliver our services and to meet our legal obligations, including tax, electrical safety and consumer law requirements.
Text messages and emails
We may contact you by SMS or email about your enquiry or job, for example appointment reminders, quotes and invoices. From time to time we may also send occasional updates or offers. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages we need to send about a job in progress.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our payment, accounting, SMS and email providers, and only as far as needed for that purpose, or where the law requires it.
Keeping it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (except where we must keep records by law). Email compliance@barboelectrics.com.au and we will respond as soon as we can.
